Maturation

Abstract

Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Rachel Chandra is the first in her family to attend university. As she works through her neuroscience degree, she struggles with balancing her responsibilities as a first-generation student and living her life in a way that satisfies her. “Maturation” is about the complicated and bittersweet relationship with her parents. Along with the seasons, Rachel undergoes cycles of growth and change, one day hoping to blossom and to make her parents proud.
