About the Journal
Since Winter 2008, CSUDH anthropology undergraduates have developed this award-winning on-line journal. Although the individual student participants have changed, their shared commitment to excellence has continued. CSUDH undergraduates write the research papers, essays, and theoretical summaries. CSUDH undergraduates make all the editorial evaluations without faculty inputs. CSUDH students design the journal, and layout text and photographs. This extraordinary example of undergraduate scholarship is the creation and vision of CSUDH undergraduate anthropology students. The Electronic Student Journal of Anthropology documents the broad intellectual interests and profound scholarly achievements of CSUDH anthropology students.
ESJOA is a two-time recipient of the CSUDH Presidential Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement: 2010/11, the inaugural year of this award, and again in 2012/13.
