Abstract

Although empirical research on internet addiction remains in its infancy, it is emerging as an area of considerable interest.  The current study was designed to address two research questions:1. Experiment 1: Are personality processes (i.e., appearance, performance, and social self-esteem; satisfaction with life; attributed oppression and felt oppression) a predictor of internet addiction?2. Experiment 2: Is neurocognition (i.e., impulsivity, self-control, attentional blink, executive functioning, memory span, cognitive interference, and inhibition) a predictor of internet addiction?
